Excellent PhD thesis and defense by Simon Vitt

I am proud to announce that Simon Vitt performed an excellent PhD defense and wrote an excellent PhD thesis entitled “The influence of environmental UVB radiation on growth, immunity, behavior and sexually selected traits in the three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus)”. Long-term experimentally enhanced UVB radiation, simulating enhanced solar ultraviolet B radiation due to anthropogenic causes, had many effects: it affected growth, the immune system, anti-predator behaviour and the relationship between pre- (male coloration) and post-mating (sperm number) male traits.
