Starting with the June issue, BES has a new cover image showing a katydid
.
Katydid Copiphora brevirostris (female) from the Neotropical rainforest of Barro Colorado Island, Panama. Male C. brevirostris time their vibratory courtship signals in the short- and long-term to favorable sensory conditions through flexibility in behavioral response to short-term wind fluctuations or an evolutionary response to predictable periods of low-wind conditions.
